Ben's November

Hello Everyone! This month I've had big developments..Hum... My bottom 2 teeth erupted early in the month.. Yay! Now I can let my mummy and daddy off from my senseless fussing and screaming due to the itchy witchy gums.. And .. My drools have significantly lessened.. Yay!
Sometime mid month, mummy let me try some bananas.. Yummy! I screamed in glee everytime i ate a mouthful... afterwards mummy went wild with the foods and she let me eat avocados, pumpkin, sweet potato, porridge, beef and youghurt!

Oh yes.. i had my first haircut!.. see the picture above? that was before the haircut..i was at solomon's house... u can see other pictures of me after the haircut on my pics website http://web.mac.com/limpaio.

back to the the haircut.. I was so scared of the noise from the shaver's motor that i cried and cried.. :( which made grand aunty lynne and the hairdresser and mummy try to calm me down by doing all sorts of stuff! jiggling, smiling, clapping hands etc! Huh..! Mummy was sure glad the haircut was done.. she loved my new look... lol.. she complained that the long hair made me look girly girly hahaha..


today daddy n mummy n me went to a barbie @ ruffley lakes park.. see the photos...it was fun! i got to lie down on the mat and also play with other bubs there.. daddy n mummy had lots to eat and talk and talk to other aunties and uncles from the cell group.. it was a lovely day for a nice BBQ..

Movember. What is that??!!!

I'm growing a Mo. So what's a Mo? Mo is a Moustache!
I'm doing this fund raising thingy called Movember where you have to grow a Mo for November... it is for the awareness of prostate cancer and depression in men...a company initiative..
Got involved accidently cos my Australian IT colleague wanted to form a IT team for Movember and asked me if I was interested. I thought he was forming a team for a sporting event so I said yes!!!!! Almost fainted when I found what a Mo was!!!

Anyway thanks to those who contributed to my funds. So far I have collected the most in the company. Haha!!!!

Work

Started work with Aerostructures on tuesday. The company is located in a office building that resembles Guthrie House and is also located on the third floor as my previous company!!!!!

Although its only a four months contract work, I hope to secure a permanent role after the contract ends.

Mornington

Hi! We have been down with the flu but not out! My sister arrived in Melbourne awhile back for a holiday. Our flu had just started then.. haa thanks to some friends from Perth!

Anyway, we made a trip to Mornington just to laze around and take nice pictures. Had a big big Australian Ang-Moh breakie...We put these photos on the blog for you to see! Its a nice spring day and very sunny outdoors... U can see we are soaking up the sun after days of dreary weather in winter! We have a shot of me with our car.. for those friends in Spore who keep asking us to take photos with the car.. haah

How inconsiderate!!!!

Our whole family was down flu! Baby Ben was sick and the virus was spread to mummy and daddy. It was already hard to take care of baby ben and with the whole family being sick, things were even harder to manage.
Baby Ben caught the bug from a young girl. No fault of her own but the fault should lie with the girl's mother. The girl's mother knew her child was sick and yet she encouraged her little girl to play with baby ben!!!!! so inconsiderate!!
Everyone has to suffer due to one inconsiderate mother! Please Lah!!! Have some brains!

We are getting better especially Baby Ben. He is slowly coming back to his jovial self.

I found a job!!! Hurray Hurray!!! will be starting work on the 9th Oct. Although its a contract work, it beats staying at home doing nothing.

Lynn got her Spouse temporary Visa approved!! Finally. A four months wait. Now she can apply for medical benefits, baby bonus, family assistance etc or even work haha.

Life and Death - In God's Hands

Yo all, today blogging on reflections about the fragility of life. A sad week this week......Edward sad that nice ex-boss died suddenly few days back.. not old-only slightly past 40s..,not married. A pity...
Life is in God's hands.. cant tell when you'll leave this world.. thinking about a school-mate who died of cancer in July this year.. so young.. my age...got 2 young kids. So sad. Somemore, cancer was diagnosed only this year.. she was gone in 6 months...

Oh well.. treasure your family and friends.. do what's important.. you'll never know when God decides to take you home..Take care catch u all again

Father's Day In Melbourne

Yo all. 2nd September was Father's Day here. Yea i know its June something at home.. but anyway..just to write about our first Father's Day with Benjamin! Pretty uneventful, but at least we did have a nice lunch out together, instead of cooking! After church, we went to Lygon St for some Italian food..had a cake as well..! Yummy. Deserts are so nice looking and yummy here....especially the gelatos!! Could have eaten more but.. oh well gotta watch the waistline...

Didn't bring the camera out... so no foto to upload......next time.. i wont be so lazy.. Happy Father's Day to all fathers I know!

Good day to all.. this week was a week of nice
weather. We caught a free lunchtime concert at Federation Square on Wednesday.. performance by VCA students. Took some photos too around the area. Ben was asleep during the concert but kept being awakened by the audiences' clapping! ha. Edward had to bring him away....

This week too we watched Singapore chinese serials! So good to watch a chinese program after soooo long.. Used mobtv to download. Helped us keep in touch with home too... it was a chinese drama called Bao Jia Wei Guo. Quite funny.. ! Enjoyed it all :)

Sunny day finally!

Good day to all..we're out for a walk on a sunday afternoon.. finally, the weather is better and fine.. sunny and pleasant. Today we went to check out VCA's open house along St.Kilda Road. Quite an informative session for me.




We enjoyed our walk but Ben looked disinterested when we took the photos. Ha, maybe, he is like Daddy who doesn't like to take photos either! Its nice to be out and about!

My Birthday

Today..my first birthday with Benjamin..been a life changing last few months since Ben was born on May 5th (100 days before my birthday!). He's so cute cute and fat fat now. Thank God that he's a nice kid.. not colicky.. so cute too..He's so fun to play with, especially when he smiles his toothless smiles showing his gums!

I went out to meet the mothers of my mothers group..we met at the observatory cafe @ Botanic Gardens. It was quite chilly today...

We had an ordinary day..no celebrations. But this year is so different.. new country new home new weather new baby..new everything. Adjustments.. the theme of the year 2007! Multi-tasking.. the main order of everyday. I wonder if i can still fulfill my wish of completing a music degree?
